As we continue to welcome her back, we asked the instructors to join in on the fun and share some of their thoughts and experiences with Ruth. The responses were heartwarming and empowering, We must say it was so amazing to see women supporting women! At The Pole Gym we are surrounded by some pretty amazing women. This year for Womens’ Week, we want to take a minute to focus on one woman in particular. Many of you already know and love her, and to others she may be someone new in the studio that you have seen around recently, please welcome back Pole Mumma Ruth!

Ruth started pole in 2011 and has been part of The Pole Gym family ever since. After completing her instructor training and fitness certifications and becoming head instructor, Ruth took ownership of The Pole Gym in 2019 and grew the gym in a new direction. (Did someone say glow up!) Although you may not have seen much of Ruth recently, her influence and direction for the gym have been pivotal. As a previous student and instructor, The Pole Gym held a special place in Ruth's heart, but she envisioned even more. Over the next couple of years, Ruth built our instructor team and secured a new location to build the new home we love today!

All that would be enough to keep most people busy, but Ruth was also building a family. At the end of 2021, Ruth stepped back from instructing, and we welcomed Baby Hux into The Pole Gym family shortly before moving into our new studio space a year ago in 2022. Although only sometimes around, Ruth has continued to guide the studio and staff behind the scenes through the less fun and less glamorous business side of things that didn't require glitter and pleasers.

But finally the time has come that we can celebrate and welcome back the woman behind us all! Ruth is excited to be stepping back into the instructor role as she loves her students' excitement when they learn a new trick or unlock a new achievement through hard work and dedication. She loves to see her students get stronger and more confident and appreciate their bodies for what they can do. But don't take our word for it: watch out this week as our instructors reflect on the role Ruth has played in their journeys as well!

So, if you see Ruth around the studio this Womens’ Week, please welcome her back, share your experiences, or stop and introduce yourself - she would love to meet every one of you!
